Under the direction of the Billing Manager, the employee is responsible for supervising the daily functions and operations of the designated billing Units. Keeps track of billing/collections flow adversities and takes appropriate action to address such issues and provides trends to management. Oversees overall workflow of billing unit(s); assures that tasks are accurately performed in a timely manner aimed at meeting targeted deadlines and goals. Trouble shoots problems and issues of daily correspondence; missing or delayed requests researches and provides resolutions. Creates, tracks and maintains productivity logs for unit

Required:
1-3 years with BA/BS or equivalent experience.
Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training.
Excellent and effective written and verbal skills to be able to communicate effectively with various stake holders. Well developed knowledge and experience with billing cycle operation. Ability and skill to effectively analyze billing trends and adversities, while taking a proactively role to develop and implement effective and timely resolutions. Ability to effectively analyze account collections trends and develop and implement appropriate corrective action. Proficient use PC and MS Office applications including MS-Word, Excel, Outlook Knowledge of ICD-9 and CPT codes to include diagnosis symptoms and Manifestations. Experience with billing and collections guidelines and requirements for federal, state and county programs, third party payers, managed care, Capitation, etc. Demonstrate ability to read and understand basic to complex office forms/documents and take appropriate action. Ability to use creative and innovative forms of effective problem solving techniques Ability to critically and systematically analyze through problems, issues and be able to provide effective solutions Skill to prioritize competing workloads and deadlines to ensure job completion and meet deadlines. Effective interpersonal skills, verbal and written skills to successfully resolve issues related to claims submission with patient and various reimbursement agencies. Ability to effectively supervise and interact with staff using effective interpersonal skills and work well with others in a diplomatic and professional manner Communicate with staff with effective coaching, mentoring, training techniques aimed at achieving optimum performance while fostering professional growth.
Preferred:
Substantial Supervisory experience, and knowledge of University policies and procedures Previous experience with the IDX/GE billing system, Invision, TDS, EPIC and RAD Plus and Rockwell
